dencity

Prior to starting Dencity, Bryan and Staffan were first tennis partners.  Both are former varsity college players, at Mississippi State and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively.  Out of this grew a friendship, and for many years, they lived as neighbors in the in-town Atlanta neighborhood, Grant Park. Dencity was started in 2000 as a small, urban focused firm. Their first project was an affordable housing project in the University Center district of Atlanta, Georgia.  Since then, Dencity has grown to design a diverse body of work including office and restaurant interiors, private residences, and multi-family residences.  While a majority of their work is in the Atlanta area, they have designed residential interiors in the New York City Time Warner Building and vacation homes in the north Georgia Mountains and on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

Dencity focuses on quality design, and makes every attempt to design sustainable projects.  Several of their residences qualify for LEED and/or Earthcraft certification. The partners work creatively to deliver high-quality design even when faced with budgetary constraints.

Both Bryan and Staffan are currently raising young families in the Grant Park and Ormewood Park neighborhoods of Atlanta and are actively engaged in their communities.  They continue their commitment to architectural education by frequently serving as guest critics and lecturers at Georgia Tech and Southern Polytechnic.
